Bristol solicitors Lyons Davidson believe that Fairtrade helps to set them apart in a market where for many people, there is little to choose between one law firm and another. “It sends out the message that we are a company that cares. When potential clients visit and are served Fairtrade tea or coffee, they can see we are a company that is not solely focussed on the bottom line,” says Kerry Bone, their Green Office Group co-ordinator.

To reinforce the message Fairtrade logos are displayed in their reception areas and meeting rooms.

Using Fairtrade as a way of ensuring the human rights of producers can also be viewed as a very appropriate extension of the legal profession's commitment to upholding the rights of their clients.
